Ashley graduated as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Essex in 2022, after taking a year out to have a baby. She is currently back at Essex studying her degree in Dental Therapy, which will mean she is able to carry out fillings amongst other treatments.
Ashley has a wealth of experience in the dental sector having worked in dentistry since 2012, starting off as a Dental Nurse. Over the years she has worked in general practice as well as the community and in prisons before deciding to go to university to study as a Hygienist in 2019.
She is always looking for ways to improve her skills, and enjoys doing extra curricular courses to further her knowledge. She also enjoys volunteering to give back to the community. She is currently applying to volunteer for Dentaid in Uganda on completion of her Therapy degree, and is interested in learning how to administer Botox in the near future.
Ashley believes in a gentle but thorough and informative approach when it comes to promoting oral health, and likes to work together with patients to get them involved in their care so that excellent standards of oral hygiene can be achieved.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her daughter, going to the gym, travelling and seeing friends and family.
