Invisalign aligners are completely transparent, custom made aligners that fit firmly around your teeth and gradually move them without using unsightly wires or brackets. The aligners are clear, flexible and made from specially engineered SmartTrack material. Invisalign aligners are removable, which means that you can take them out to eat and drink.

Invisalign clear aligners made of specially engineered SmartTrack material applies gentle and consistent pressure on the teeth to slowly move them into the correct position. Your dentist will provide you with a prescribed number of aligners that you change yourself at home every week.

Invisalign aligners need to be worn for 22 hours day and night. They should only be removed to eat and drink. If you do not wear your aligners for as long as you should, your treatment can take longer or you might not achieve the result that you want. If you think compliance might be an issue for you, it may be better to consider traditional fixed braces. Most people get used to wearing their aligners within a few days of starting treatment.

The total length of your invisalign treatment depends on your individual case. It can vary from 7-20+ weeks but most people achieve their end result within 14 weeks. Once you start your invisalign journey, you may need to visit your dentist every 4 weeks. Your dentist may ask you to come in more or less frequently depending on your individual case.  During these appointments, your dentist will check that your treatment is on track, all of the components are present, make adjustments if necessary and give you tips and advice.
